Manage workspace access at Settings → Members & roles. Moda accounts are provisioned by the Moda team — there is no self-serve signup — and teammates join an existing workspace through invitations.

Roles

Every member has one of three roles: What each action requires: The owner’s role cannot be changed and the owner cannot be removed; ownership moves only through a transfer.

Inviting a member

1

Open the invite dialog

In Settings → Members & roles, click Invite member. Requires the admin or owner role.
2

Enter the email and role

Choose Viewer (read-only access, the default) or Admin (can manage settings and invite members). Invitations cannot grant the Owner role.
3

Send and track

The invitation appears under pending invitations, where it can be cancelled. It expires after 7 days.
4

The invitee accepts

The invitee opens the invitation link, accepts, and lands in the workspace with the assigned role.
Invitations are for email addresses that do not yet have a Moda account. Inviting an existing account is rejected with “This user already has an account. Existing users cannot be invited - they must be added directly.”

Changing roles and removing members

Admins and owners manage membership from the member list:
  • Change any non-owner member’s role. Only the owner can promote a member to Admin; admins can set members to Viewer.
  • Remove any non-owner member. You cannot change your own role or remove yourself.

Transferring ownership

Only the owner can transfer ownership. In the member list, set another member’s role to Owner; a confirmation dialog completes the transfer. After the transfer, the previous owner becomes an Admin and can no longer transfer ownership.
